London Sunset

How to Spend Valentine’s Day in London

Is there really any better gift to your special someone than whisking them away on a romantic mini-break? We don’t think so either! There are so many incredible things to do in London to set the mood just right, and here are a few ideas…

See The Sunset

You don’t need us to tell you how beautiful the sight of the setting sun is, but the great thing about London is that you can watch it from up high. Perhaps you’d like to look into booking a private pod on the London Eye, complete with personal waiter, champagne and chocolates. Or, if you don’t have that kind of money to spend, a meandering walk up Parliament Hill in Hampstead Heath will bring you to a panorama to remember instead.

Day Trip to Kew Gardens

Enjoy a taste of Costa Rica’s incredible biodiversity without even boarding a plane at Kew Gardens’ annual Orchid Festival, from 5th February – 6th March 2022. This unmissable event is so full of beauty you’ll have no choice but to smile.

Embark on an Art Trail

If there’s one thing the East End of London has a lot of, it’s art, and for those looking to take a stroll whilst enjoying something a little more unique, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s “Art In The Park” art trail could be the answer. After exploring all this vast and iconic location has to offer, you can then wind down in one of Stratford’s many bars and restaurants or get your adrenaline kicks on the Arcelormittal Orbit tunnel slide!

See a Romantic Film or Musical Theatre Production

If the weather’s against you or you simply don’t want to wander the dazzling London streets by night, you can never go wrong with a cosy visit to the cinema or theatre. We’d recommend booking your theatre tickets in advance, but if you’re not particular, you can usually find something on the night. For your cinema date, it doesn’t get much more romantic than Notting Hill’s Electric Cinema on Portobello Road.

Treat Yourself to a Spa Session

Unwinding at the spa is one of the most indulgent ways to spend an afternoon. London has plenty of options when it comes to booking a spa date, but The Lansbury Hotel isn’t only a great base for all the above attractions; it just so happens to house its own PURE Spa right within its walls too, meaning you can roll straight back into bed again with a bottle of wine when you’re done. Absolute bliss.
